Okay, so. A double shot of whatever strong alcohol you like is not going to get you drunk, right? (For our purposes, let's say that 1 single shot equals 40 mL, and that 1 single shot equals a glass of beer or a small-ish glass of wine. (Not that giant bordeaux glass you're eyeing.))

Because I've seen this a lot in fic, and it frankly puzzles me.
